Position Overview

The Curriculum Specialist / Special Education Teacher will play a key role in developing and delivering high-quality educational materials tailored to learners with special needs. The role involves designing adaptive learning content, training other educators, and ensuring that teaching aligns with both local and international standards.

This position is ideal for a teacher, curriculum designer, or education consultant who values creativity, inclusivity, and student-centered learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and adapt curricula and lesson plans for learners with diverse educational needs.

• Design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) that address specific student requirements.

• Train and mentor other teachers on best practices for special education delivery.

• Integrate digital tools and assistive technologies into learning modules.

• Evaluate teaching outcomes and recommend improvements for instructional quality.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree (B.A., B.Sc., or HND) in Education, Special Education, or related fields.

• 3 to 8 years of relevant work experience in teaching or curriculum development.

• Strong knowledge of inclusive education strategies and learner assessment methods.

• Experience designing or adapting content for learners with disabilities (e.g., autism, dyslexia, ADHD, etc.).

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency in digital learning tools (e.g., Google Classroom, Moodle, Canva, or other LMS platforms).

• Ability to work independently and remotely while meeting deadlines.

Work Structure

This role offers remote flexibility and is structured as a contract position. Candidates can work from home or any location in Nigeria (preferably Lagos or Abuja). The position requires strong self-management and time organization skills.
