Job Summary
Global Aluminium Industries is recruiting a Food Nutritionist to oversee and enhance the nutritional quality of meals served across the company’s staff canteens, support wellness programs, and ensure compliance with global food safety standards.
The ideal candidate will play a critical role in developing healthy meal plans, conducting nutrition assessments, and collaborating with catering teams to promote employee health and productivity through balanced diet management.
This position requires a mix of scientific knowledge, practical food service experience, and communication skills to educate staff on proper nutrition and wellness practices.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive meal plans that align with employee dietary needs and company health policies.

Evaluate the nutritional content of food items served in staff canteens and make necessary recommendations for improvement.

Collaborate with chefs, catering staff, and health officers to ensure food quality, safety, and hygiene compliance.

Conduct nutrition assessments and provide individualized dietary advice to employees where needed.

Monitor daily meal preparations to ensure proper portion sizes and nutritional balance.

Design and deliver nutrition awareness programs, seminars, and wellness campaigns within the organization.

Analyze and interpret data related to food consumption, employee health outcomes, and nutritional performance.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge on new dietary trends, food science research, and industrial nutrition policies.

Ensure compliance with HACCP, NAFDAC, and World Health Organization (WHO) standards on food safety and nutrition.

Support the HR and Health departments in developing corporate wellness initiatives and health promotion programs.

Prepare periodic reports on nutrition initiatives, dietary improvements, and staff participation in wellness programs.
Requirements

Educational Qualification:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Science, or Public Health Nutrition from a recognized institution.

A Master’s Degree or professional certification from the Nutrition Society of Nigeria (NSN) or International Confederation of Dietetic Associations (ICDA) will be an added advantage.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 – 5 years of professional experience as a Nutritionist, Dietitian, or Food Scientist in a corporate, industrial, or healthcare setting.

Skills and Competencies:

Strong understanding of food composition, meal planning, and dietary assessment.

Knowledge of industrial catering operations and employee wellness programs.

Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.

Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret health and nutrition data.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data reporting and presentation.

Salary Range
₦250,000 – ₦400,000 monthly (depending on qualifications and experience).
