Role Overview

Research is central to EHA Clinics’ mission to improve healthcare outcomes in Nigeria.
The Research Department is dedicated to advancing medical research and transforming evidence into meaningful improvements that enhance everyday health and wellbeing.

As part of this vision, the Medical Consultant will contribute to the planning, execution, and evaluation of research studies and projects. The role involves applying clinical expertise to innovative research, building partnerships, and supporting efforts that strengthen the impact and quality of EHA Clinics’ research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Purpose

• Learn and apply the new Disability Adjusted Life Year (DALY) estimation tool to generate standardized quality scores for clinical documentation.

Engagement

• Develop and implement targeted data-collection systems using tools such as SurveyCTO to gather operational insights and feedback from clinical teams.

Delivery

• Create and implement an evaluation framework to measure how structured feedback influences the accuracy, completeness, and usefulness of clinical documentation.

• Analyze both quantitative and qualitative data to prepare evaluation reports on the effectiveness of AI-generated feedback for improving patient notes.

• Conduct expert clinical reviews to identify agreements and variances in clinical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans across patient records.

Required Specialized Expertise

• Completion of post-graduate residency training in Family Medicine

• Ability to commit 10–15 hours per week to remote work

• Strong proficiency in email communication and collaborative tools (Google Docs, Sheets, Drive)

• Willingness and availability to participate in mandatory virtual trainings and online team meetings

• Preferably based in Northern Nigeria
