UNIZIK Supplementary Admission Guide for 2025/2026

Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) has officially opened the sale of its supplementary admission form for the 2025/2026 academic session. This opportunity is specifically for UTME candidates who previously completed the PUTME registration and are seeking admission into a different department or course.

The supplementary admission exercise will close at 3:00 PM WAT on Friday, 5 December 2025. UNIZIK emphasizes that only candidates without an existing admission offer from any department are eligible to participate.

How the Supplementary Admission Works

The supplementary admission exercise allows candidates to apply for available programmes listed by the university. Key points to note include:

  • Intra-university transfers are permitted only after two years of study.

  • Candidates should frequently check the JAMB CAPS portal for the transfer approval panel. Early acceptance is required once the proposed course appears.

  • Ensure O’Level results are correctly uploaded to JAMB CAPS to avoid delays in processing.

  • The supplementary list covers a wide range of disciplines, including Education, Arts, Sciences, Engineering, Management, Social Sciences, Health Sciences, and more.

Steps for Using the UNIZIK Supplementary Shopping Portal

The UNIZIK shopping platform is time-sensitive and has strict rules to ensure a smooth process. Candidates should follow these guidelines:

  1. Access the portal through the official UNIZIK Supplementary Admission Page.

  2. Queue management is in place: only the first 1000 users can enter at a time, while others wait in a holding area.

  3. Active users have 5 minutes to complete their selections. After the time expires, they return to the waiting room for the next batch.

  4. A countdown timer shows remaining time for each active session. Candidates should monitor their queue number carefully.

  5. Each candidate can select up to three programmes, but only one professional course is allowed among the three options.

  6. Ensure all steps are completed within the designated timeframe to avoid delays or errors.

UNIZIK’s supplementary admission form provides an excellent second chance for UTME candidates to gain admission into their desired course, offering flexibility across hundreds of programmes spanning multiple fields of study.
