Plateau State University Extends Registration Deadline for 2025/2026 Academic Session

The management of Plateau State University (PLASU), Bokkos, has officially announced an extension of the registration period for all students for the 2025/2026 academic session.

This update was shared through an internal memorandum released by the Office of the Registrar on October 13, 2025, following appeals made by the Students’ Union Government (SUG) and the National Association of Plateau State Students (NAPSS).


New Registration Deadline

According to the memo, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shedrack Gaya Best, has approved a two-week extension of the registration exercise.

Students who fail to complete their registration within the new window will be required to pay a late registration fee of Ten Thousand Naira (₦10,000).


Purpose of the Extension

The extension was approved in response to appeals from student leaders who requested more time for those who may have faced challenges completing their registration before the original deadline.

This gesture demonstrates the university’s commitment to supporting its students and ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to complete their academic registration process without unnecessary pressure.
