Job Summary

Dangote Industries Limited is currently seeking a qualified and experienced CCTV Technician to join its security and surveillance operations team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting CCTV systems and related security infrastructure across company facilities. You will play a vital role in safeguarding company assets, ensuring operational safety, and supporting the overall security framework of the organization.

This position requires hands-on technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a large security network within an industrial environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Install and configure CCTV cameras, digital video recorders (DVRs), network video recorders (NVRs), and related surveillance equipment.

  • Perform routine inspection and maintenance of CCTV systems to ensure full functionality and reliability.

  • Troubleshoot and repair camera faults, connectivity issues, and system malfunctions.

  • Ensure optimal coverage of surveillance areas by repositioning and fine-tuning cameras as needed.

  • Maintain and manage network cabling (Ethernet, coaxial, and fiber optics) for all CCTV installations.

  • Coordinate with the IT and Security teams to integrate surveillance systems with the company’s central monitoring infrastructure.

  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of all CCTV installations, configurations, and maintenance schedules.

  • Ensure data storage integrity by monitoring video backup systems and ensuring retention compliance.

  • Support the implementation of new security technologies and upgrades as directed by management.

  • Conduct performance testing on CCTV systems to identify potential areas of improvement.

  • Train end users or other security personnel on basic CCTV operations and troubleshooting.


Requirements

  • Educational Qualification:

    • National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 2 – 4 years of hands-on experience in CCTV installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting in an industrial or commercial environment.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in handling IP and analog CCTV systems.

    • Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, IP addressing, and router/switch configurations.

    • Experience with security monitoring software, remote viewing tools, and DVR/NVR systems.

    • Familiarity with access control, alarm systems, and security network integration is an added advantage.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.

    • Excellent communication and reporting skills.

    • Attention to detail, with a focus on system reliability and operational security.

    • Ability to work under minimal supervision and respond promptly to technical issues.

  • Certifications (Optional but Advantageous):

    • CompTIA Network+, Hikvision Certified Professional, or equivalent CCTV technical certification.


Salary Range

₦180,000 – ₦300,000 monthly (depending on experience and qualifications).
